Commercial Manager - Specialty Malts, Region: North East
While completing his Bachelor’s degree in Fermentation Science at UC Davis, Rich began his brewing career as a cellar worker at Sudwerk Davis. He left the brewery as director of brewing operations to serve as technical sales manager at Gusmer Enterprises where he worked in filtration and instrumentation sales and support as well as managing the service department. Rich joined malting full time while working at Briess Industries as national sales manager. He joined the Cargill Team with 20 years of experience in the brewing industry in a variety of disciplines.
Account Executive, Region: South
David started his professional career studying business administration at Nicholls State University. He followed this by obtaining an American Culinary Federation Apprenticeship Certification from Delgato Community College in New Orleans. After learning the food service industry from the inside as a professional chef, he joined Performance Food Group as a brand manager and sales trainer. In 2006, David joined Cargill as a regional manager and worked with the food service business units, selling products and managing customer relationships throughout the US. In early 2015, David brought his vast food service experience and client-first mindset to Malt as the south region account executive.
Account Executive, Region: Mid-West
A Business Management degree is where Mike initiated his career into the beer world. Starting in a retail position he moved to a management spot with one of the foremost local beer distributors. From there he moved to the position of Sales Manager with an up and coming brewery in Central Minnesota expanding his sales territory to three more states in three short years. With over 12 years of sales experience in the beer market Mike joined the Cargill team as Account Executive for the Mid-West territory.
Sales/Account Professional, Region: Eastern US
After graduating from Providence College with a degree in Business Management, Tim moved to Boston and began working for the largest beer distributor in the state of Massachusetts. He began his work there in operations, but quickly found a passion in the sales and marketing side of the business. Tim helped oversee several major transitions within his business unit, each time expanding his own responsibilities within his sales territory. In 2015, he passed his Cicerone Certified Beer Server test. With nearly three years of experience in the distribution business, Tim joined Cargill Specialty Malts in 2015.
Sales/Account Professional, Region: Western US
Jesse began his career in the beer industry working between helping package and bartend for Big Boss Brewing in Raleigh, NC. That quickly turned into a Management position running day-to-day operations for the Taproom, pioneering event work and acting as an effective liaison between all the moving parts of the company and community. This is where his passion for the beer industry flourished and he developed his sales and relationship building skills. He has been a Cicerone Certified Beer Server since 2014 and has almost a decade of management experience in the industry.
Account Executive, Region: Mountain
Jeremy began his career in the brewing industry at the age of 18. He started in distribution, sales, and marketing while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Food Science at Colorado State University. After partaking in the brewing sciences class at CSU, he decided to further his brewing knowledge by completing the Master Brewers Program at UC Davis. Jeremy had the opportunity gain experience in brewing and sales for great companies in the brewing industry- Anheuser-Busch, Avery Brewing, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, and Founders Brewing. He joins the Cargill team with 12 years of experience in the brewing industry and is the account executive for the Rocky Mountain Region.
