Louisiana Sugar Refining announces shift in ownership

Louisiana Sugar Refining, LLC (LSR), announced today that Cargill and Sugar Growers and Refiners, Inc. (SUGAR) have acquired all of Imperial Sugar’s interest in LSR. Cargill and SUGAR now each have a 50 percent interest in the million-ton-per-year sugar refinery.
Horizon Milling G.P. purchases land in Guelph, Ontario, to build state-of-the-art flour mill

Horizon Milling G.P., a partnership formed by Cargill and CHS, today announced plans to construct a new flour mill in Guelph, Ontario. The facility is expected to be open in the next three years and will be built on a 27-acre site Horizon Milling recently purchased.
Cargill completes sale of its global flavours business to Kerry Group

Cargill can confirm that it has completed the sale of its global flavours business to Kerry, the ingredients & flavours and consumer foods group. The companies had announced in July 2011 that they were holding exclusive discussions and a definitive sales agreement was signed on September 22nd.
