Date: 15 November 2010
Bhubaneswar, 15 Nov, 2010: Cargill launched `NatureFresh Shakti' brand of refined palmolein oil especially formulated for families of Odisha. NatureFresh Shakti offers nutritional benefits in addition to high quality taste and performance. The palmolein oil is fortified with vitamins A, D & E for wholesome growth and development, a significant first step in the industry. The fortification is another demonstration of Cargill's commitment to nourishing India.
The vegetable oil will be produced by Cargill in its own refinery at Paradip, thus ensuring freshness of the edible oil.
Dedicating it to the people of Odisha Siraj Chaudhry, chairman Cargill India said, "We are extremely delighted as NatureFresh Shakti underscores and reinforces Cargill's long-term commitment to our consumers. They will benefit from Cargill's commitment to quality, food safety, innovation and value as the refinery at Paradip is equipped with best and latest edible oil refining technology tested across the global Cargill network. The Cargill Paradip refinery has won the Orissa State Safety Award twice, in 2005 and 2007."
This launch not only strengthens Cargill's existing portfolio of leading edible oil brands being marketed as `NatureFresh', but also expands its market reach in India's palmolein market.
