Reduced calorie & sugar

Consumer needs are driving reduced calories and sugar dialogue and action in the food industry. Cargill’s solutions can help satisfy these needs in your food and beverage applications.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states; “When it comes to maintaining a healthy weight for a lifetime, the bottom line is – calories count! Weight management is all about balance – balancing the number of calories you consume with the number of calories your body uses." * Calories and nutrition are increasing important to consumers.

Zero and low-calorie sweeteners add a taste that is similar to that of sucrose to foods and beverages. High intensity sweeteners are generally several hundred times sweeter than sucrose. Most do not contain any calories. Cargill’s zero and low-calorie sweetener portfolio can practically eliminate or substantially reduce the calories in food and beverage applications.

Cargill’s zero and low-calorie ingredient solutions include:
Truvia® natural sweetener Isomaltidex® isomalt Maltidex™ maltitol Treha® trehalose
Truvia® natural sweetener IsoMaltidex™ isomalt sweetener FIS Connect Maltidex Logo Treha® trehalose sweetener
