Thinned starches

Thinned starches are used for food and beverage applications that typically involve an existing high starch content. The properties of these thinned starches can vary widely. In general, these starches exhibit low heat viscosity and have a high adhesive and binding power.

Thinned starches are used in the following types of application:
  • Confectionery products
  • Processed meat production
  • Coated foods such as bread or battered products
  • Imitation cheese

Some Cargill products are only approved for use in certain geographies, end uses, and/or at certain usage levels. It is the customer's responsibility to determine, for a particular geography, that (i) the Cargill product, its use and usage levels, (ii) the customer's product and its use, and (iii) any claims made about the customer's product, all comply with applicable laws and regulations.
